Hidden behind the Universytet Metro Station in Kiev city centre you’ll find Kiev University’s Fomin Botanical Gardens.
The park was founded in 1839 and is one of the oldest botanical gardens in Ukraine. It is named after Alexander Fomin, director of the gardens from 1914 to 1935.
A trip here could easily be combined with a visit to St Volodymyr’s Cathedral, just across the road.
This is not very well maintained and no information about any of the plants or trees. I’d describe it as more of a park than a true botanical garden.
