It wasn't long ago when most restaurants in Kiev were either very simple affairs serving basic local fodder or elite establishments serving foreign businessmen and wealthy Ukrainians. Although both these types still exist in abundance, the last few years have seen the emergence of mid-range restaurants catering to Kiev’s emerging middle classes and regular tourists.
