British DJ duo Groove Armada will be appearing in concert at the Palace of Sport on October 8 2009. For more information and tickets call 246 7406.

Grammy award-winning Canadian singer and songwriter Nelly Furtado will be appearing in concert at International Expo Centre in Kiev on July 15.

The concert starts at 7 pm, with tickets priced Hr 150 to Hr 250.

Former Beatles’ member Paul McCartney will perform on Independence Square on June 14. The Independence Concert will be free to attend and has been funded and organised by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

McCartney said ‘I’m very excited because on the 14th of June I’ve been invited to play a concert in Independence Square, Kiev. Me and the band are going to be there and we’re going to have to a great evening and we hope to see you there. So come along, it’s going to be great evening hopefully for the Ukraine. Pull together, groove, rock and roll – all together.’

There will also be an exhibition of 40 of McCartney’s paintings at the Pinchuk Art Centre at Arena.

Steve Edwards will be appearing in concert at Arena on February 1 2008. The house music singer/songwriter is best known for providing the vocals for Bob Sinclair’s massive single ‘World, Hold On’ (which incidentally can be heard on this video taken at Shooters nightclub in Kiev). The show starts at 10 pm, with ticket prices starting at 50 hrv.

American singer and songwriter Lenny Kravitz will play a concert in Kiev this summer. The musician, winner of four consecutive Grammy Awards from 1998 to 2002, will appear at the Palats Sportu on June 16 at 7 pm.

The concert is part of his worldwide Love Revolution Tour and will feature songs from his latest album of the same name, as well as his best known hits.

East German trance music DJ Paul van Dyk will be performing in Kiev on December 14. The gig, part of his In Between Album tour, will be held at the International Exhibition Centre, 15 Brovarskly Prospect, and starts at 9 pm.

Global Gathering, one of the UK’s most famous dance festivals, is coming to Ukraine. This weekend up to 30,000 revellers are expected to descend on the Chayka Aerodrome, just outside Kiev, for this massive open-air event. DJ’s scheduled to appear include Sasha, John Digweed, and Erick Morillo.

The event takes place on July 14, from 2 pm till late. Ticket prices start at Hr 120 and can be booked by calling 8-800-507-6000.

International super club Godskitchen are coming to Kiev. The event, part of their worldwide tour, will take place on May 8 at the International Exhibition Centre on Brovarsky Prospect at 10 pm. The main DJ’s will be Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz. Tickets are priced Hr 150 to Hr 500 and can be booked by calling 5012520.

DJ Diva from Amsterdam will be spinning at PaTiPa on Saturday April 21. The former lapdancer claims to be the world’s first topless DJ. Should be interesting.

Swiss house music legend DJ Antoine will be appearing at the Arena nightclub on Friday 13. Entrance is 50 Hr for women and 100 Hr for men. Nice to see equality is flourishing here
