The Kyiv Post is the Ukraine’s largest and most popular English language newspaper, giving both ex-pats and locals an insight into what’s happening in Kiev and Ukraine. It’s available for free at numerous ex-pat haunts including:

Arizona BBQ, Art Club 44, Da Vinci Fish Club, Drum, Eric’s Bierstube , Joss, O’Brien’s Irish Pub, Opera Café, Pervak, River Palace, Schnitzel House, T.G.I Friday’s and Yakitoria.

Foreign newspapers and magazines are relatively hard to find, expensive, and often out of date. Visitors seeking news from abroad will find it considerably easier to read an online version at one of Kiev’s internet cafes. For those determined to obtain hard copies, the press kiosk in the Globus Shopping Centre (underneath Independence Square) offers the widest choice of magazines and newspapers. Here you’ll find English and European newspapers plus a pretty good selection of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Hello, GQ, Men’s Health, National Geographic etc.
