Visitors can leave Ukraine without filling in a customs declaration provided they have less than US$1,000 or 1,000 UAH.
I recently left Ukraine (28th October 2009) by car and there was a notice in English saying that individuals can leave Ukraine through the green channel with a maximum of $10,000 and UAH 3,000.
Philip. I think you are probably right that the limit has increased to 10,000 Euro. As usual though they haven’t published any info on their website in English. We’ll amend the page once we have confirmation that the limit has changed.
The regulations for the amount of cash being taken out of Ukraine without a declaration is confusing. I saw a sign in Kiev airport saying 10,000 Euro is now the limit. I asked a customs official to conform. But I am still concerned as clear information is rare in Ukraine. Please confirm on your if the laws have been amended recently.
