UA Beach Club

Most visitors to Kiev are surprised to learn that the city offers a multitude of sandy beaches where they can relax in the summer months.

Those at Hydropark, a recreation area on the Dnipro River, are the most popular. Many of the beaches here are public though some belong to private clubs.

One of the best known private clubs is the UA Beach Club (formerly known as the Opium Beach Club and UAM Beach Club). During the daytime guests can relax on the beach, play volleyball and other beach games, or just sit in the shade with a beer or cocktail. In the evening it turns into an open air nightclub featuring DJs, live music, and entertainment.

Getting to the UA Beach Club is fairly straightforward. Take the Metro to Hydropark station and, after exiting, walk across the bridge to the north (Venetian Bridge) and then follow the path for about 600 metres.
