O’Brien’s Irish Pub

Situated just a short walk from Khreschatyk, O’Brien’s was the first Irish pub to open in Kiev.

Expats and tourists are tempted by the familiar. Ales on tap include Tuborg, Warsteiner, Carlsberg, Kilkenny, Hoegaarden and of course Guinness. Irish Stew, Shepherd’s Pie, and Fish & Chips and other traditional pub grub is also served.

Upstairs offer several pool tables and more TVs than the average Ukrainian electronics store.  Live English Premiership football is a major draw. The space downstairs is a little more intimate.

The closest Metro station to O’Brien’s is at Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti).

The owner of this pub is an absolute prick. Other than that it's good.

If you are a fan of the English Premier Leauge, O'Briens is the place to be. They are the only restaurant I know that have Sky TV and show English football matches.
Also, try the chicken boxey, one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life.

Ironically, there is never any Guinness when I go in there.

O'Briens used to be okay 2+ years ago if you are into the Irish pub scene. It's past its prime now. It is one of the few late night places open in the Maidan area though.

O'Brien's is pretty sweet. They have tons of alcohol to drink and pretty good food. It's expensive though.
