I think this hotel would be a nightmare for some people but I quite liked it. It’s an old Soviet style hotel in need of quite a lot of TLC, but I thought that was more than made up for in its character. The room was ok, if a little tired, and the staff were quite friendly and accommodating. Worth considering for the single male traveller as they have a very interesting version of room service where a young lady either rings you or knocks on your door.
Take what you were expecting and divide it by about 3 and you probably won’t be disappointed.
The best thing about this place is its ideal location. It’s a little bit run down though so as long as your expectations aren’t too high you might be ok. To be fair, the room was clean and bright and both check in and check out were quick and efficient. They booked me a taxi which arrived on time and the staff were actually quite friendly and helpful.
